"I'll help you, you know, if you want to find this guy." Kate had mention this several times after they got home and Ellie got settled back in her room. It was just like she'd left it. So much of high school on the walls. It felt like a different time to her now as she studied it. Where had she really been? Lost in her head?

At least she wasn't having problems with mirrors. Things were so normal, yet she kept feeling sad because she hadn't heard a word from Evan.

"What if something happened to him?" Ellie didn't want to say she'd had dreams of something happening to Evan, but it was on her mind. Why had she let him go so easily now? It made her uneasy.

"You just can't be happy, can you?" Her sister informed her, doing her best to get Ellie to eat, but Ellie really wasn't fond of carrots dipped in peanut-butter. But she ate the snack and she tired to understand that yes, she had to be thankful to be back home.

"Just stop beating yourself up for everything that happened," Kate was right. Ellie knew, but there was so much she hadn't a clue where to start. She could only hope she'd be happy when she found Kale.
