Weeks had passed into months. No Evan. No Kale.

Ellie had decided she had become an island shared with only one. Christmas was almost here and she knew she had so much to be thankful for and yet, she felt in oblivion. Dreams were just a far away place now.

She'd tried her best numerous times to hunt down Kale with no avail. Usually, it was just an empty house, or they'd never heard of him. Had he just left? Were they just not telling her the truth when they saw her coming with that baby bump?

Of course, there was her mom insisting that she start taking classes at the nearby university.

"I think if you were on your own would be your best bet," her mother advised.

So it had come down to this.

1. don't bother with Kale.
2. keep Evan out of the picture.
3. make the grade.

It sounded quite simple and rather logical. She hadn't had a seizure in quite sometime.

"I know you miss them," her sister said, helping her out with all the questions and paperwork to start at the University.

"So what if I do, if it could some how bring me back to Kale, I would have them. Seriously," Ellie confessed to Kate.

"That's just lust talking," Kate told her who decided to answer most of the questions herself. "You have to look at this as freedom. You find your own way, have your own place. Its not like you're really leaving or any thing. We'll be close by."

Ellie tried to smile, but it felt like a prison term to her. All alone, and no sign of Kale nor Evan anywhere.
