"Lets not talk about it," he said, kissing her again, and she kissed back. It was the first time she'd really seen him smile like that. She waited to see if he'd make the first move. He didn't. So she did. "I'm not going to talk about it," she promised, unbuttoning his wet shirt and slopping him out of it. She wished there were music, but she supposed they could make their own. After all, there must have been a reason why the bottom bunk was hers. She pulled him by the beltloops there. Hopefully, he could figure out what to do. She kissed him gently, "I really don't like all this waiting," Ellie whispered in his ear. She shook her head, no. And once she felt his damp skin next to hers, it was time. How could someone forget how it was, she thought. Evan did not come to mind as she wrapped herself around him. It was a rush, like a freight train finding its way home in the dead of night, but it was the motion of the throttle that swayed her most. The push. The pull. A new memory built here, not there. A work in progress, perhaps. She smiled slightly when it was over. Maybe she knew what she came for, after all.
